Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, court musician at the royal court of Frederick II was an influential composer working in times of transition between his god Father Georg Philipp Telemann's baroque style and the classical and romantic styles that followed it. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart said of him, "He is the father, we are the children". The best part of Joseph Haydn's training was derived from a study of his work. Ludwig van Beethoven expressed for his genius the most cordial admiration and regard.
In this concert evening you will experience musical development from late Baroque music through the Galant style of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach to end finally in Joseph Haydn's musical language of the Vienna Classic.
